To create each piece of jewelry, an illumination is hand-painted on parchment or paper, glued to a metal support and coated with resin.
Wherever possible, primers are made in France or Europe, and comply with REACH regulations concerning nickel and heavy metals such as lead, cadmium and mercury.
I make the paint using pure pigments and a traditional binder based on gum arabic and honey. Gilding is done either with gold leaf on mixtion or in relief on gesso, or with shell gold, or using metallic powder.
The motifs adorning the jewelry are mostly inspired by medieval illuminated manuscripts.
Each piece of jewelry is unique, or produced in very small series (just a few pieces).
