Traditional illuminations on parchment or paper
Illuminations
I create illuminations, most of which are taken from illuminated manuscripts, sometimes with a medieval or more modern inspiration.
On parchment or paper, each illumination is painted using paint that I prepare by grinding pure pigments with a traditional binder based on gum arabic and honey.
Gilding is carried out with gold leaf on mixtion or gesso (in relief), or by applying metallic powder bound with gum arabic, or mineral gold (imitation gold); this is specified on each item sheet.
